This policy covers every app made by Technolans and this website. Each app has its own section below, so you can see exactly what that app does.
Who we are
Technolans is a solo developer. For privacy questions or requests, email technolans@outlook.com.
Our approach
- Our apps do not require an account.
- Our apps do not include advertising, analytics or tracking.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
- If an app ever needs to connect to the internet, it is listed in that app's section, and this policy is updated before that version is released.
Livery
Livery collects no personal information and makes no network connections. It has no account, no telemetry and no analytics.
What stays on your PC
Livery saves your settings (theme, accent colour, widget layout and wallpaper choice) and its log files in the app's own folder on your PC. Nothing is sent anywhere. Uninstalling Livery removes them.
What Livery reads on your PC to work
To show its widgets, Livery reads this information from Windows, only on your PC and only while it runs. It is displayed on screen and is not stored or sent.
- CPU, GPU, memory, network and drive statistics
- What is playing, such as title, artist and album art, from apps that use Windows media controls
- Where your desktop icons are, so widgets can stay clear of them
- Whether a fullscreen app or game is running, so widgets can pause
Files you choose to create
If you export a theme, Livery saves a theme file where you choose. Livery does not send it anywhere.
Microsoft Store
If you get Livery from Microsoft Store, Microsoft collects data about your download and about the app's crashes and use under Microsoft's privacy statement. We receive only summary figures from Microsoft, not data that identifies you.
Future paid upgrade
We plan an optional one-time paid upgrade. If it needs to check your licence online, this section will say exactly what is sent, and it will be updated before that version is released.
If you contact us
If you email technolans@outlook.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to fix the problem you reported. If you send a log file, we use it only for that. We do not add you to any mailing list. Ask us to delete your messages and we will.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not see or use that information for anything else.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children, and because they collect no personal information, they do not knowingly collect any from children.
Your rights
Our apps hold no personal information about you on our side, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For emails you have sent us, write to the address above and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects what an app collects, we will update this policy before releasing the version that does it.
